Get in the room
A lot of what happens in Pasadena gets talked through in a room before it reaches a council agenda: the chamber lunch, the economic-development task force, the plant advisory council. Here is when they meet and how to get a seat.

Be our person in the room
Already go to one of these? After the meeting, snap the handout and talk for 90 seconds about what you heard. That’s the whole job, and it lets the rest of Pasadena know what’s coming.
The facts behind these rooms (who runs them, their tax returns, public money in) are on the record at the Council on Local Relations. The week’s best three meetings go out in the Herald.
